Homemade Magic Shell Topping & Pretzel S’Mores
Summer seems like the perfect time to have decadent treats with the kids, doesn’t it? Here are a couple of the delicious treats we’ve made this week.
Melt coconut oil first in a pot over medium-high heat, it only takes seconds for this stuff to melt. Then, add the chocolate chips, stirring continuously until combined. Let it sit for about 3 minutes before drizzling over cold ice cream. It’ll harden within a minute and adds the most awesome coconutty chocolatey flavour!
Lay pretzels on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Top with two mini marshmallows on each, and then two chocolate chips on top of the marshmallows. I’m not gonna lie — this is a fiddly project. Most days I’d call it “Ain’t Nobody Got Time Fo Dat” Pretzel S’Mores because seriously, who the hell has time for this? Well, I did one evening.
Melt in 350° oven until marshmallows have browned, then remove baking sheet from oven and immediately top with another pretzel square.
I think I really need to start an exercise routine if I’m planning to survive till the fall…
