#BlogSmallJoys: Melany’s Joy
It’s the new year, and I’ve dropped the ball on recruiting people to submit their pieces to my #BlogSmallJoys project. Melany sent me this when I was scrambling to catch up to my life-train, and I’m so glad she did because it embodies exactly what I think is so important about this project. Something so small that brings such happiness.

Not sure if you’re taking photo submissions for this project, but this photo right here is an example of seeking out small joys. 2014 has been full of ups and downs but the one thing I’ve tried to keep constant is regular one-on-one time with my daughter. We went tobogganing yesterday and it was so much fun. We ended up making new friends on the hill, and seeing my girl so carefree – laughing as she raced down the hill – helped me feel carefree.

Alex – thanks for featuring my daughter and I in your #BlogSmallJoys project! The funny thing about this tobogganing outing is that a couple of days later I tore the meniscus in my left knee. That was our last tobogganing outing…most likely for the season and I’m so glad to have a photo memory of it.
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, Mel, that totally sucks. 🙁
