*~CLOSED~* Alligator Pie at the TSO Giveaway!

I was so excited to hear that the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is presenting Alligator Pie — do you remember the book of poetry from when you were little? I can still recite Alligator Pie by heart, and I remember when Toronto poet Dennis Lee read it aloud at my elementary school.

          Alligator pie, alligator pie,
if I don’t get some, I think I’m gonna die

Now, the TSO is doing something even more magical with Lee’s beloved collection of poetry.

On April 2, 2015, the TSO will be bringing Alligator Pie to life with music composed by Abigail Richardson-Schulte (The Hockey Sweater). Join The Orchestra, along with soprano, host Kevin Frank, and author Dennis Lee under the musical direction of RBC Resident Conductor Earl Lee for this wonderful family event! The show is suitable for children ages 5+, and will feature pre-concert entertainment with storytellers from the Toronto Public Library 30 minutes before the show.

We were invited to attend, but unfortunately cannot make it, so I’m giving away our family pass (4 tickets) to the 4pm show on April 2. One winner will receive four tickets to the show, plus a copy of Alligator Pie.
