Let’s Try Some Realistic Resolutions, ‘kay?

Hey, guess what, friends? I’ve signed on to be a Bayer ambassador this year, so that means a couple things: for starters, it means I’ll have lots of fantastic product giveaways for you all! Secondly, it means I won’t have to pay for my own Midol for months, and that alone makes it all worthwhile. 😉

As always, my opinions are my own, but to be up front, you need to know that I partner with them, and this is a post as part of that partnership. Also, to make sure any of the products I’ll be talking about are right for you, always read and follow the label. We coo’? Perfect.

Now let’s move on to the real topic at hand: it’s January, and that means it’s resolution time.

But come on. How long do resolutions last? Far less time than the guilt for breaking them does, that much I know. So why don’t we make a few realistic ones instead of deciding to change ourselves inside and outside in a mere 12 months? I’m going to start with just taking better care of myself in general. Little things. Like starting with how I’ll recover from the excess of the holiday season. I feel worn down after the holiday season, and it’s time to rejuvenate.

(Sure, these are not drastic ideas, but I’m ok with baby-stepping’.)

Those Sniffles, Tho
Unfortunately catching up with a lot of friends and family, can sometimes mean catching a cold, leaving you with annoying nasal congestion. In my case, allergies do the same thing, and I find nasal rinsing makes me a whole lot more comfortable. hydraSense® can help get rid of nasal congestion so you can breathe better and feel free to start that new exercise routine – or just enjoy your day. On your couch. In your jammies. Whatevs. 😉

Back to Your “Regular” Programming
Holiday eating is fun but it’s not exactly well-balanced high-fibre diet (well, not at my house, in any case), so it can lead to issues like constipation. (Just ask my daughter. No, wait, don’t, because I bet that’d be really embarrassing.) For effective relief of occasional constipation, without bloating, cramping, or gas, you may consider RestoraLAX®. Maintaining a well-balanced high fibre diet and keeping well hydrated may help promote regularity, (but that’s really difficult for a kid who would much prefer to survive on charcuterie boards).

Boosting Immune Systems
It’s not easy to get your family to eat right all the time. We’re so busy these days that it can be hard to make sure you’re ticking all the key nutrient boxes. (I served my kids mac n cheese with a side of broccoli yesterday because I honestly couldn’t remember when they last ate veggies… oops.)

Once daily vitamins are a simple way to give your whole family’s nutrition a boost. One-A-Day® can help kick-start your healthy year by providing vitamins to help maintain good health. Get your kids into a daily routine too with FLINTSTONES™ to help provide the nutritional support they need when they may not be getting all their dietary needs from food alone. Plus, sneak one for yourself for nostalgia’s sake.

Get Your Ohm On
Adding 5-10 minutes of meditation to your daily routine can help you feel more refreshed and balanced. Choosing to take this time for yourself may actually free up time in your schedule; studies show that meditating can actually help the brain process information faster. I downloaded an app called Sattva to help me chill, and I really, really love it.

Unplug an Hour Before Bed
The light that emanates from your phone, computer or TV can actually activate the brain and make it more difficult to fall asleep. Swap nightly screen time for a magazine or book to help your body prepare for sleep. This simple choice can help you feel much more refreshed in the mornings.

So, how about trying those little steps to making changes? Seems more manageable to me. 🙂

Disclaimer: I am a brand ambassador for Bayer, and as such, will be writing a number of posts promoting their products. However, as always, my opinions are my own. Although products I talk about work for me and my family, to make sure any of the products I’ll be talking about are right for you, always read and follow the label.
