Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic Review

Thanks to the amazing folks at Feld Entertainment, last Thursday, my husband, six-year-old son and I went to see Disney On Ice: 100 Years of Magic at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

It was a special night out for just the three of us because our daughter was home with grandparents, giving us a chance to spend some time just with our little guy. It’s not often we get to go out with just him, to something that he really enjoys, so we were pretty excited about this one.

It really was magical. 100 years of beloved Disney characters thrilled the audience with beautiful skating, amazing costumes, and fun songs. Belle and the Beast, Mulan, Minnie, Mickey and the old gang, Rapunzel and Flynn, Elsa, Anna… they were all there!

I loved listening to the songs and stories, and I was seriously impressed with the special effects — I mean, Elsa made it snow, you guys. That was seriously, ahem, cool.

Prices for the concessions were a little crazy (a bag of cotton candy with a foam Olaf hat or foam tiara cost $15), but hey, we saved on parking by walking a few blocks from a lot that charged just $5 so I splurged on the sugar rush.

It was a really well-produced show from start to finish, and I would absolutely recommend taking young kids if Disney on Ice visits your town!

We had a great time as well. The seats were great and all the kids enjoyed themselves. I brought treats from the store and my own glow sticks so that further helped cut down on costs. I’m so thankful we won the tickets… Thanks Alex.
